Privacy Policy

‍ ‍

Leventhal Financial LLC provides personal budgeting and debt-payoff coaching. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.

‍ ‍

The short version: your budgeting data does not come to us. It stays on your device, and in your own Google Drive if you turn on syncing. We cannot read it.

‍ ‍

What we collect

‍ ‍

  • Website. Our site is hosted on Squarespace, which collects standard analytics such as pages viewed, browser type, and referring site. If you contact us or book a call, we receive what you enter.

  • Clients. Contact details, intake form information, and the financial details you choose to share with us during an engagement, along with our session notes and the documents we prepare for you.

  • Payments. Handled by a third-party processor. We receive confirmation of payment only, never your full card or bank account number.

‍ ‍

The Leventhal Financial Custom Budgeting App

‍ ‍

The App runs entirely in your browser. Your transactions, budgets, debts and goals are stored on your own device. There is no Leventhal Financial server behind it and no account with us. We have no copy of your data and no way to obtain one. CSV files you import from your bank are read on your device and are never uploaded.

‍ ‍

If you connect Google Drive. Syncing is optional and off unless you turn it on. The App signs you in to your own Google account and saves one file into your own Drive.

‍ ‍

We request a single permission, drive.file, the narrowest Google Drive permission available. It grants access only to the file the App creates for you plus any file you select yourself. It cannot see, list, search or read anything else in your Drive. That file moves between your browser and your Google account. It does not pass through us.

‍ ‍

We use Google user data only to provide the syncing feature you asked for. We do not transfer it, sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and no human reads it except where you ask us to as part of coaching or where the law requires it. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

‍ ‍

You can disconnect at any time in the App's settings or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Your data stays on your device, and the file stays in your Drive for you to keep or delete.

‍ ‍

If you share your sync file with a partner through Google Drive, that person can read and change your budget. You control that sharing and can revoke it. We are not a party to it.

‍ ‍

How we use it, and who sees it

‍ ‍

We use what we collect to deliver coaching, communicate, schedule, take payment, and meet our record-keeping obligations. We use third-party providers to run the business (hosting, scheduling, email, e-signature, payments, file storage, and AI-assisted tools that help us review and organize what you send us), each receiving only what it needs. We may disclose information where legally required.

‍ ‍

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

‍ ‍

How long we keep it

‍ ‍

Client financial documents are kept for up to 24 months after an engagement completes and are then deleted, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons. This matches your signed coaching agreement.

‍ ‍

We also keep de-identified, aggregated information about the work we do, for example the share of a typical budget spent in a category. It does not identify you and is not your financial records. It is not sold or shared for advertising.

‍ ‍

Your choices

‍ ‍

Ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will, apart from records we must retain. Just email us. Anything inside the App is already yours to export or delete without asking.

‍ ‍

Security

‍ ‍

We use reasonable safeguards. The main one is structural: for your budgeting data we hold nothing, so there is nothing of yours to lose if our systems are breached. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security for the information we do hold.

‍ ‍

Changes

‍ ‍

We may update this policy. The date above will change, and we will tell active clients about material changes.
